Here\u2019s the evidence.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"font_8\">\n<li>\n<p class=\"font_9\">At least 4 international BIM conferences are scheduled for this year: <a href=\"http:\/\/europeanbimsummit.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-content=\"http:\/\/europeanbimsummit.com\/\" data-type=\"external\">Barcelona<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/10times.com\/bimistanbul\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-content=\"http:\/\/10times.com\/bimistanbul\" data-type=\"external\">Istanbul<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.heysuccess.com\/opportunity\/BIM-2017-International-Conference-on-Building-Information-Modelling-(BIM)-in-Design-Construction-and-Operations-6228\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-content=\"http:\/\/www.heysuccess.com\/opportunity\/BIM-2017-International-Conference-on-Building-Information-Modelling-(BIM)-in-Design-Construction-and-Operations-6228\" data-type=\"external\">Alicante<\/a> (Spain), and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bimshowlive.co.uk\/#start-section\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-content=\"http:\/\/www.bimshowlive.co.uk\/#start-section\" data-type=\"external\">UK<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"font_9\">At least two national BIM conferences will be held this year, the <a href=\"http:\/\/expo.bimforum.org\/spring\/2017\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-content=\"http:\/\/expo.bimforum.org\/spring\/2017\/\" data-type=\"external\">BIMForum <\/a>spring and fall sessions.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"font_9\">The National Bureau of Building Sciences developed a set of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nationalbimstandard.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-content=\"http:\/\/www.nationalbimstandard.org\/\" data-type=\"external\">BIM standards<\/a>, which incorporates consensus standards from organizations around the world to ensure global compatibility.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"font_9\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thebalance.com\/introduction-to-building-information-modeling-bim-845046\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-content=\"http:\/\/www.thebalance.com\/introduction-to-building-information-modeling-bim-845046\" data-type=\"external\">60%<\/a> of construction companies now use BIM<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"font_9\">Students can now obtain a college-level <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sanfordbrown.edu\/Areas-of-Study\/technology\/building-information-modeling\/Associate-of-Science-in-Building-Information-Modeling?campus=Online\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-content=\"http:\/\/www.sanfordbrown.edu\/Areas-of-Study\/technology\/building-information-modeling\/Associate-of-Science-in-Building-Information-Modeling?campus=Online\" data-type=\"external\">associate degree<\/a> in BIM: \u201cAssociate of Science in Building Information Modeling\u201d<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"font_9\">BIM was listed among the top 10 topics in the construction industry in both <a href=\"http:\/\/www.constructiondive.com\/news\/10-trends-defining-the-construction-industry\/404564\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-content=\"http:\/\/www.constructiondive.com\/news\/10-trends-defining-the-construction-industry\/404564\/\" data-type=\"external\">2015<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.constructiondive.com\/news\/10-construction-industry-trends-to-watch-in-2016\/411402\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-content=\"http:\/\/www.constructiondive.com\/news\/10-construction-industry-trends-to-watch-in-2016\/411402\/\" data-type=\"external\">2016<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"font_9\">The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.constructiondive.com\/news\/survey-uk-contractors-not-ready-for-bim-deadline\/407599\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-content=\"http:\/\/www.constructiondive.com\/news\/survey-uk-contractors-not-ready-for-bim-deadline\/407599\/\" data-type=\"external\">UK has mandated<\/a> that all government projects must use level-2 BIM, which requires a common file format, so all participants in a project can use them.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"font_9\">Why is BIM becoming so popular?
